In Version 1.0, HomeKeep Calendar is designed as a local, on-device recurring home maintenance tracker:

• No account registration or sign-in is required.
• No advertising and no in-app purchases in V1.0.
• Maintenance tasks, completion records, and settings are stored locally on your device (JSON files such as maintenance_tasks.json and completion_records.json, plus built-in templates/).
• The App does not declare the INTERNET permission and does not upload your maintenance data to SHS SUSTAINABLE HOME SOLUTIONS LLC servers.
• The App does not provide cloud sync in V1.0.
• The App does not integrate advertising SDKs or third-party analytics, attribution, crash-reporting, or tracking SDKs.
• There is no contractor marketplace, service booking, or IoT device integration in V1.0.
• Optional due-date reminders, if enabled, are scheduled and delivered locally and request POST_NOTIFICATIONS only when you turn reminders on (default: off).

Important: HomeKeep Calendar helps you track recurring home maintenance chores. It does not replace licensed inspections, certified HVAC/electrical/safety inspections, or official warranty service.

3. Information Stored on Your Device (App)

If you use the App, information you enter or generate may be stored locally on your device, including:

• Maintenance tasks: title, category (HVAC, Safety, Plumbing, Appliance, Exterior, Other), interval in days (fixed-day intervals in V1.0), next due date, last completed date, status (ACTIVE / paused / archived), optional location in home, optional estimated cost (display only), notes, and reminder toggle per task
• Templates: built-in recurring chore templates (for example HVAC filter, smoke alarms, dryer vent, sump pump, gutters) and custom maintenance you create
• Completion records: completion date, optional notes, and optional actual cost history used to recalculate next due dates
• App preferences: due-soon threshold (3 / 7 / 14 days), reminder lead time (1 / 3 / 7 days) and time of day, week-starts-on setting, and related options

In V1.0, this content remains on your device. Pause hides a task from calendar dots temporarily; Archive retains history but removes the task from active lists and reminders. Deleting a completion record recalculates lastCompleted and nextDueDate from remaining history.

You may export CSV (tasks + completion records) or full JSON backup, and import a JSON backup via Android’s Storage Access Framework (SAF). Import validates schemaVersion before merge. You may clear all local data in Settings, or uninstall the App.

4. Information We Do Not Collect Through the App (V1.0)

Through HomeKeep Calendar V1.0, we do not:

• Require you to create an account or sign in
• Collect or upload your personal data or maintenance content to our servers
• Sell your personal information
• Share App user content with advertisers or data brokers
• Use advertising networks or ad SDKs
• Use third-party analytics, attribution, or tracking SDKs
• Offer contractor booking, a service marketplace, or IoT integrations
• Access your contacts, precise location / GPS, camera, or microphone for core features

5. App Permissions and Why They Are Used

Depending on your Android version and settings, the App may request or use the following:

A. Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS)

• Requested only when you enable optional maintenance reminders.
• Used to show local, on-device due-date alerts (for example, “Replace HVAC filter is due in 3 days.”).
• Reminders are off by default and are not used for advertising.

B. Storage Access Framework (optional export / import)

• If you export CSV/JSON or import a JSON backup, you choose the file location through Android’s Storage Access Framework.
• Export and import are user-initiated and remain under your control on the device or storage location you select.

C. Network / Internet

• V1.0 does not declare the INTERNET permission for sending App content to us.
• Core calendar, templates, tasks, and history are designed to function offline.

If a future version needs additional permissions, network features, accounts, ads, analytics, contractor marketplace, or IoT features, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, provide in-app or store disclosures before the change takes effect.

Device / OS providers

If you enable your device’s system backup or restore features, the operating system provider may back up local App data according to that provider’s rules. That backup is controlled by your device/OS settings and is not an upload initiated by SHS SUSTAINABLE HOME SOLUTIONS LLC servers.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

App local data

• Retained on your device until you delete it.
• You can clear all local App data in Settings using “Clear all data” (or equivalent).
• You can uninstall the App; uninstalling generally removes the App’s local data from your device.
• Export CSV/JSON creates a copy under your control; deleting the App does not delete files you previously exported.

Website / email records

Contact messages are retained only as long as needed to respond, maintain reasonable business records, or as required by law.

10. Your Rights and Choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you (for example, emails you sent us) by contacting PAGE@shssustainablehome.site.

Because App V1.0 does not upload your maintenance data to our servers, local App data must be cleared on your device (Settings → Clear all data, or uninstall).

Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable law. We will respond to verified requests as required.

11. Children's Privacy

HomeKeep Calendar and this website are intended for users 13 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us through our website or email, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Data Security

We design V1.0 so that App content stays on your device. Please protect your device with a screen lock or other device security features. If storage is full or a save file is locked, the App may show a save error; your last successful local save remains on the device when available. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information stored on your device or transmitted when you contact us by email.

13. International Users

SHS SUSTAINABLE HOME SOLUTIONS LLC is based in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, any information you send us (such as an email) may be processed in the United States.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised when changes are made.
